Welcome to the Neighborhood!

Manager Neighborhood is a web based data collection platform developed by Informa Investment Solutions (IIS). Data collected through Manager Neighborhood is used to populate PSN Enterprise as well as other IIS products such as PSN Data Select, Sponsor Connection, Wealth IQ, and Hybrid Client Reporting.  Manager Neighborhood data is also used by numerous third party organizations to populate their software.

Participation in any Manager Neighborhood is absolutely FREE!

What is PSN?

In 1984, IIS introduced the first commercially available investment manager search and evaluation database - Plan Sponsor Network, or PSN. PSN is an advanced software and web application offering financial professionals high-quality, in-depth data on U.S., non-U.S. and global investment managers.

Who Participates in PSN?

PSN has approximately 2,000 investment managers participating in the PSN database, which covers more than 12,000 investment products. Managers range in size and capabilities, but all are interested in sharing their data in an effort to increase their exposure to investment plan decision makers.

What Type of Information is Collected?

PSN is a very detailed database, capturing more than 2,000 data points for each investment manager. The data collected spans from basic firm-level information to detailed, product-specific information. PSN is a separate account database but also carries a section for commingled funds, mutual funds and managed accounts. Products are divided by six asset classes, U.S. equity, U.S. fixed income, U. S. balanced, Non-U.S. equity, Non-U.S. fixed income, Non-U.S. balanced, Global equity, Global fixed income and Global balanced.

Who Uses This Information?

Plan sponsors, investment consultants and brokerages use PSN to perform manager searches and ongoing evaluations. Money managers use PSN for competitive analysis and product positioning. Other investment platforms use PSN data as valuable content in their deliveries.  Participation in the PSN database is the mandatory starting point for many of our brokerage and consultant client's manager search process.

Is there a charge to participate?

No. There are no fees associated with participating in PSN. You must only commit to providing IIS with accurate data on a timely basis. We make doing this easy, by offering you the ability to update your investment manager profile over the Internet, using our Website. Bulk uploads have been developed to transmit information in an efficient and accurate manner.  They are free of charge to all participants.

Getting Started

An investment management firm can participate in the PSN database by sending an e-mail to PSNdata@informais.com with the following information:

• Name of the investment management firm
• Address
• Name of the data contact who will be responsible for submitting the required information and communicating with IIS on any data issues
• Data contact telephone number
• Data contact fax number
• Data contact e-mail address

Upon receiving that email an IIS employee will verify your firm’s authenticity.  The data contact and marketing contact at your firm will then be given password protected access to Manager Neighborhood.  You will be assigned a personal data specialist at IIS who is will help you get started and answer any of your questions.  After you finish entering the information, your data will go through a number of checks.  When approved, your data will become part of PSN and be visible to thousands of users.
